The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is our digital alternative to the University of Sussex campus.
It’s a one-stop-shop where:
- your teaching and learning takes place
- you can view live lectures and seminars, or watch them back on-demand
- you’ll interact with fellow students and academic advisors
- you’ll find all the information you need about your course.
It’s easy to use, easy to navigate, and accessible via your computer, tablet or mobile device 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We work with a specialist team of course designers to ensure your learning experience is as engaging, intuitive and accessible as possible. Module content, course structure, assessments, and chat functions have been carefully developed to suit a virtual learning mode.
This means you can enrol on a course with all the academic rigor of our campus programmes, but without being tied to one location or set study times. Learn more about the benefits of online study.
