Accessible through Canvas our online learning platform, the Study Online Student Support Site (SOSSS) provides valuable resources for students seeking careers advice and guidance.
As an online student you’ll be given access to our Careers Hub where you can find resources including;
– One-to-one support with specialist careers advisors, via telephone or Skype calls
– Job sector guides
– Support with writing CVs and job applications
– Details of job vacancies and graduate schemes (UK and overseas)
– Access to GoinGlobal; in-depth careers advice for students looking to work overseas
– Internship and voluntary opportunities
– Information on entrepreneurships and start-ups.
The Careers Hubs resources are available to students throughout their course and for three years after they graduate.
The Careers Hub also run regular events including career workshops and fairs where employers are invited to campus to meet students and promote vacancies and graduate opportunities. If you are studying locally or visiting campus when events are being held you are welcome to attend them in person.
As most careers workshops are delivered on campus, our online students have access to presentation resources from previous events through the Careers and Employability Centre (CEC).
