Meet Jamila Aldakny, one of our inspiring online alumnus.
Egyptian-born and raised in Kuwait, Jamila grew up with a deep-seated belief that you can never have enough knowledge. This passion for continuous growth led her to our online International Marketing MSc programme.

What inspired you to pursue this programme?

My passion for learning and growth was my inspiration. I wanted to refresh my knowledge and challenge myself to go further. I've always been guided by my drive to keep growing, and this felt like the perfect next step.

How did you feel before starting your programme, and how do you feel now?

Before, I was excited but honestly unsure of what to expect from online learning. Now, having completed the course, I feel more confident, refreshed, and energised to keep learning.

What does having a good education mean to you?

For me, education is not a phase; it’s a lifelong journey. It means having the freedom to grow, adapt, and always stay curious.

What challenges did you overcome during the programme?
Content
Balancing time between studying and work was the biggest challenge. It became even more demanding when I changed jobs right before my thesis, so I had to prove myself in both my new role and my studies. Staying motivated was key. I kept reminding myself that learning never ends and that every step brings me closer to who I want to become.

Absolutely! It’s not just a piece of paper; it’s proof of my growth, resilience, and lifelong curiosity. I’ll use it to contribute meaningfully in my career, inspire others to keep learning, and show that education is for life, not just for a certain stage.
